Yes, that is a direct quote from Wisconsin Democrat Senate nominee Mandela Barnes — and it’s indicative of the far-left ideology Barnes apparently thinks belongs in Wisconsin classrooms.
Barnes is a strong supporter of critical race theory (CRT), a Marxist notion that America is inherently racist. Barnes believes in CRT so strongly, in fact, that he “liken[s] it to learning about science.”
And if CRT isn’t taught? According to Barnes, “people will just assume it just happened this way because of hard work, because of pulling up by your bootstraps.”
Of course, that Barnes supports such a radical ideology comes as no surprise considering he once called the founding of America “awful.”
