In a 50-50 split Senate, Democrat Mark Kelly could have wielded his vote to get almost anything.
Kelly could have demanded 18,000 more Border Patrol agents during the worst border crisis in history, but he didn’t. Kelly sided with Biden and voted to hire 87,000 new IRS agents instead.
Why? Because Kelly doesn’t think he’s “in the business” of fighting for his constituents.
Q: "I wonder if you've ever thought of using your 1 vote in the Senate in the way Senator Sinema has, to get things she believes are important?"

Apparently, he was too worried about making things inconvenient for Biden by “holding” things up.
Kelly could have demanded more Border Patrol, more funding for border security or an amendment to combat rising crime. Instead, Kelly gave Joe Biden everything he wanted to keep the border open, including voting against Title 42 and against the border wall.
Arizonans deserve a senator with a spine. Arizonans will vote for better in November.
