Maybe Biden should stay in his basement

Joe Biden’s trip to Europe was a disaster.

• He insisted threats of sanctions “never deter” after his administration argued their whole strategy was based on deterrence.
• He suggested he would use chemical weapons against Putin if Russia used them in Ukraine; his administration said they wouldn’t.
• He told U.S. troops they were going to Ukraine; his administration corrected him.
• He called for regime change in Russia; his administration walked that back.

For years now, we at the RNC have been calling out Biden for hiding from questions and interviews – a trend that continues into this year. But Biden’s trip was so bad, and the crisis in Europe too important, that maybe Joe Biden should just stay in his basement for the good of the country.
