Does Terry McAuliffe expect to lie and smear his way back to the Virginia governor’s mansion?
Sure seems like it.
For one: McAuliffe has taken to insulting parents who are concerned about their children’s education as conspiracy theorists.
He absurdly branded parents’ understandable opposition to critical race theory as a “right-wing conspiracy.”
He obviously did not let facts stand in his way of that smear. A “huge coalition” of Independents, Democrats, and Republicans oppose the radical left’s attempts to force critical race theory into classrooms. Indeed, more voters in Fairfax and Loudon counties in Virginia "oppose critical race theory than support it.” And these are actually two of the most Democrat counties in the state. Loudoun County voted for Joe Biden in 2020 by a margin of 61.9% to 36.7%, and Fairfax County by a margin of 70.4% to 28.2%.
But McAuliffe doesn’t stop at the smears. He likes to work in the lies.
McAuliffe earned four “pinocchios” for lying “not once but three times” that he “inherited the largest” budget deficit from Republicans.” In fact, he “inherited a balanced budget.”
Political insider Terry McAuliffe is vying for his old job, but is using the same old tactics. Come November, voters will reject his failed far-left policies, his out-of-touch and offensive comments, and his outright lies.
