New Jersey's Mikie Sherrill Silent on Supporter's Hate

Rapid Response

Yesterday, Jack Ciattarelli – the Republican candidate for New Jersey Governor –  hosted a town hall with the people of Gloucester County to talk about the issues that really matter to voters. What did allies of Mikie Sherrill do in response? They showed up to spew violent and disgusting rhetoric.

Sherrill’s supporters held a sign mocking Charlie Kirk’s murder, saying this is a “Turning Point, Sorry Charlie.” They also held a sign saying “86 47,” a coded message to violently “take out” President Trump.

And this isn’t the first time. Back in June, Sherrill’s supporters held up similar signs threatening President Trump.

Sherrill’s response? Crickets, as she’s failed to condemn her supporters’ hateful messages.

Sherrill claims that she believes that political violence “has no place in our democracy.” If she means that, why won’t she call out her own supporters who are fueling it?
