NEWS DUMP: Illegal Crossings WAY UP

Rapid Response

It’s still the worst border crisis on record — and the Biden administration owns it.

In their latest Friday night news dump, the Biden administration just announced 232,972 illegal immigrants were encountered at the southern border in August — the 30th straight month of the worst border crisis on record and the highest total for that month in DHS history.

Since Biden took office, 7.5+ million illegal immigrants have crossed the border, including at least 1.5 million “gotaways” who escaped Border Patrol and vanished into the country. Illegal border crossings are now reaching as high as 10,000 in a single day as hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants are released into U.S. communities.

Meanwhile, at least 160 individuals on the terror watchlist have been arrested at ports of entry so far this fiscal year.

Deadly narcotics also continue to flow into communities across the country at an alarming rate, with just five to ten percent being intercepted as officials struggle to contain the smuggling. In August, 1,773 pounds of deadly fentanyl — the equivalent of more than 402 million lethal doses — and 11,505 pounds of methamphetamine were seized at the southern border.

For 30 straight months, monthly encounters have been higher than even the highest month under the previous administration — a far cry from “stopping the flow” of illegal immigration — while this fiscal year sets a record for the most illegal border crossings on record after breaking the previous record set last year.

That’s not “operational control,” a “model approach,” nor “working” — it’s a humanitarian failure which rests entirely on the incompetence of the Biden administration.

And they still won’t call it a "crisis."
