No "Occasion" For East Palestine?

Rapid Response

On February 3, a toxic train disaster struck East Palestine, Ohio.

214 days later, Joe Biden claims he just hasn’t “had the occasion” to go theresix months since he promised to visit “at some point.”

Biden has had time for at least 69 domestic and international trips since February 3 — none of which were East Palestine, Ohio:

  • Delaware (x17)
  • Pennsylvania (x8)
  • Maryland (x6)
  • New York (x3)
  • California (x2)
  • Florida (x2)
  • Nevada (x2)
  • North Carolina (x2)
  • Virginia (x2)
  • Wisconsin (x2)
  • United Kingdom (x2)
  • Canada
  • Finland
  • Germany
  • Ireland
  • Japan
  • Lithuania
  • Poland
  • Ukraine
  • Alabama
  • Alaska
  • Arizona
  • Colorado
  • Connecticut
  • Hawaii
  • Illinois
  • Maine
  • Minnesota
  • Mississippi
  • New Mexico
  • Utah
  • South Carolina

If Biden’s commitment to visit East Palestine changed, that’d be news to his White House; Karine Jean-Pierre has repeatedly reaffirmed Biden’s commitment to visit the area, as recently as July 26. Meanwhile, area residents — still dealing with waterway contamination — are calling out Biden’s EPA for “gaslighting” them.

So, what gives? The fact that Biden could find time for high-dollar fundraisers, golf, movies, and A LOT of vacation, but not even a fly-by of East Palestine, tells you all you need to know about the misplaced priorities of the Biden administration.

And it makes one thing abundantly clear: when disaster strikes, don’t count on Biden to respond.
