Another Friday news dump — and it’s a doozy.
The Biden administration just announced 302,034 illegal immigrants were encountered at the southern border in December — the highest monthly total ever.
Things have gotten so bad, it’s the fifth time officials have been forced to adjust the y-axis on their chart.

The unprecedented monthly total is a 460 percent increase from the average December during the Trump administration and the 34th straight month where encounters have been higher than the Trump administration’s highest month.
In total, nearly nine million illegal immigrants have crossed the border under Biden, including nearly two million known “gotaways” who escaped past Border Patrol and into the country. Additionally, at least 19 individuals on the terror watchlist were encountered in December, adding to the record already set under Biden.
As many as 85 percent of illegal border crossers are being released to await court dates years from now, leaving local officials to grapple with “nightmare” scenarios as millions of illegal immigrants descend on their communities.
Meanwhile, the Biden administration continues to lie and deflect blame for the crisis they created. Biden issued 94 executive actions in his first 100 days to systematically undermine border enforcement. Since then, Democrats have rejected every border security proposal (including legislation passed by House Republicans 250+ days ago).
Instead, Democrats say everything is fine as they shamelessly accuse Republicans of ignoring the crisis.
If Democrats’ strategy is to do nothing, it’s certainly working.
