Joe Biden likes to say “the words of the president matter.” Then why is Biden STILL refusing to condemn Democrats who are defunding the police?
It’s been over a month since Oakland’s Democrat-run city council voted to defund $18 million from police.
In the meantime, Oakland’s Police Chief LeRonne Armstrong denounced the defunding, Oakland police officers have struggled with a massive lack of resources, residents have called for “more police,” and even a former U.S. Senator was assaulted in the streets.
Yet Biden has said nothing – absolutely nothing – about cities defunding the police, even as the list of Democrat-run city governments endangering their communities grows:
What’s the White House’s priority instead? Shielding Biden from the political optics as he continues to lie about Democrats who are making our streets more dangerous.
Biden has had many opportunities to call on Democrats to stop defunding the police, but has repeatedly refused.
Biden is putting politics over policy and optics over action.
