On Economy, Failed President Meets Failed Governor

Joe Biden and Terry McAuliffe are cut from the same cloth: they’re both failures. Just look at their calamitous economic records.

Biden continues to squander the economic recovery he inherited, fueling skyrocketing inflation and rising prices – and today’s news that U.S. economic growth suffered a “sharp deceleration” in the third quarter is more proof that Democrat policies are a disaster.

Biden is failing American workers and small businesses – just like McAuliffe failed Virginians as governor:

  • During McAuliffe’s first year in office, Virginia experienced zero economic growth, ranking 48th out of all 50 states.
    • In fact, Virginia’s economy shrank during McAuliffe’s first year in office, and the state averaged a paltry 1% annual growth while he was governor.
  • Not only did Virginia’s jobs and income growth lag behind zero-income tax states, it “even lagged behind high-tax Maryland.”
  • Virginia “lost ground” in CNBC’s ‘Top States for Business’ rankings each year of McAuliffe’s term.
  • McAuliffe “delivered only about half of the jobs” that he promised during his term.

In Virginia, gas prices are up by 42% since Biden took office, and used car prices – a key indicator of inflation – rose by more than 27%. In fact, under complete Democrat rule, Virginia ranks in the top half of states for its high cost of living. McAuliffe’s desperate tax hikes and his job-killing agenda will cripple the commonwealth’s economic recovery at the worst possible time.

Virginians will surely reject McAuliffe as they recognize him for what he is: incompetent, unethical, and a liar. Just like Joe Biden.
