The Biden administration is either in complete denial or is detached from reality on the border.

Joe Biden’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas testified that the Biden administration has “operational control of the border" and has “effectively managed” the border crisis.

NEWSFLASH: Over 600,000 gotaways since Biden took office is not “operational control,” and releasing hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants into the country is not “effectively managing” the problem.

But that was just the tip of the iceberg in a series of disastrous hearings for Mayorkas this week. He:

Admitted “the morale in the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, in the Border Patrol, is low. There is no question.”
Confirmed that Biden’s budget request REDUCES the capacity to detain illegal immigrants crossing the border.
Said “I do not know the answer to your question” when asked if Biden has released terror suspects into the country.
- He refused to say if ANY terror suspects arrested at the border have been RELEASED by Biden.
Refused to answer why deportation levels under the Biden administration are below even 2012 levels.
Admitted Biden is releasing large numbers of illegal immigrants into the United States.
Doubled down on amnesty, saying "I fully support [amnesty], and have for many years.”
Predicted “there can be an INCREASE” of illegal crossings “should Title 42 come to an end.”
Confirmed that Biden "DISCONTINUING" wall construction COST American taxpayers $72 million.

The Biden administration is committed to perpetrating a fantasy instead of addressing the border crisis. Mayorkas confirmed Biden can’t even recognize reality, let alone solve the crisis they created.
