Joe Biden’s border crisis continues. Border officials apprehended nearly 209,000 illegal immigrants at the southern border in August according to initial numbers reported by Fox News.
It’s yet ANOTHER month of border encounters at 21-year highs and the second month in a row when encounters surpassed 200,000. It’s also a 317% increase over last year’s August.
Just since February 1, there have been over 1,200,000 illegal immigrant encounters at the border.
And as crossings continue to surge, so does the humanitarian crisis. 18,847 unaccompanied children were reportedly encountered in August, meaning more than 112,000 have been picked up by border officials since February 1.
This is a crisis of historic proportions, but Biden and Border Czar Kamala Harris are pretending like it doesn’t exist. As local officials, Democrat and Republican alike, are pleading for help, we have heard almost NOTHING from Biden and Harris in weeks. And their policies are making it worse.
Americans are struggling with a crisis on our border, and Biden and Harris have abandoned them.
