At this point, we know two things for sure about Nancy Pelosi: She loves power and she’s a hypocrite.
Exhibit A: Her position on masks. It changes based on what time of day it is and who’s watching. This is just from YESTERDAY.
Before her press briefing, Nancy Pelosi, who is fully-vaccinated, ignored CDC guidance by wearing a mask as she walked up to the podium alone, and then expressed shock that the reporters in the room were actually following CDC guidance by not unnecessarily wearing masks.
When pressed on her anti-science mask mandates, Pelosi outright rejected the science and CDC guidance on masks, condescendingly scoffing, “What is this the honor system…do you want them breathing in your face on the strength of their honor?”
Pelosi then took it a step further, suggesting members who don’t prove their vaccination status should be denied access to the House floor.
And lest you think Pelosi actually cared about wearing a mask herself, fast-forward a few hours, when Pelosi went mask-less in a huge crowd of people during a White House event, despite recently fining House members who didn’t wear masks on the House floor.
But that’s Pelosi for you – we really shouldn’t be surprised.
This is the same Pelosi who violated California’s lockdowns to get her hair done mask-less, and then asked the small business owner to apologize to her. It’s the same Pelosi who bragged about delaying aid to small businesses at the height of the pandemic while showing off her gourmet ice cream collection in her luxury freezers.
Hypocritical Pelosi – wearing a mask for political theater when the cameras are on and she can exercise her power, but abandoning the antics when she thinks no one is looking.
