In the 1970s, abusing government power to try and obtain sensitive information on your political opponents was condemned. Today, it’s the modus operandi of Pelosi’s illegitimate committee.
The January 6 committee has abused Congress’ subpoena power to pressure Salesforce into turning over the private data of millions of Americans and undermine the Republican Party. While the committee has put its efforts temporarily on hold, their effort to obtain the RNC’s private data and political strategy – which has nothing to do with the attack on the Capitol – shows that this committee is purely political.
The RNC was a target of violence and had a bomb placed outside of RNC headquarters, but the committee has yet to investigate that. Instead, they tried to subpoena the private information of millions of Republicans.
There’s a reason even Joe Biden didn’t watch last Thursday’s hearings. There’s a reason CBS’ coverage was outpaced by a “Young Sheldon” re-run. Pelosi’s committee has put politics before democracy and the American people know it.
