The Republican House majority is already keeping its promises to the American people.

Promise Kept: In its first bill, the new House Republican majority voted to repeal funding for Biden’s 87,000 IRS agents and to block efforts to increase audits of middle-class families.
Reminder: IRS audits disproportionately target the middle class and the poorest taxpayers. Indeed, “a study of 2022 IRS tax audit data found that a taxpayer in the lowest income bracket is five times more likely to face an audit that would a member of the highest income bracket.” As a result, Biden’s 87,000 IRS agents are expected to yield nearly one million additional audits per year on Americans making less than $200,000.
Republicans are standing up for the middle class. If Biden and Democrats in Congress actually cared about American taxpayers, they would join them.
