Promises Kept: A Secure Border

Rapid Response

In just under 100 days in office, President Trump has delivered on one of his biggest campaign promises to the American people: a secure border and safer communities.

  • President Trump has deported  at least 139,000 illegal immigrants since returning to office.
  • President Trump is removing scores of violent illegal immigrant killers, rapists, gang members, and other sick criminals.
  • On day one of his presidency, President Trump ended the dangerous Biden-era “catch-and-release” policy.
  • President Trump shut down the “CBP One” app, which “paroled” more than one million illegal immigrants into the country.
  • President Trump signed the Laken Riley Act into law, which requires illegal immigrants arrested or charged with theft or violence to be detained.
  • Illegal border crossings hit a new low in March, with Border Patrol agents seeing just 7,181 illegal immigrants entering the US illegally – a 95% decrease from 2024, a 96% decrease from 2023, and a 97% decrease from 2022.
  • Between January 20 and April 1, only 9 illegal immigrants were released into the US – a 99.9% decrease from the more than 184,000 released into the country under Biden during the same period last year.
  • Mexican cartel operatives say they are “genuinely” fearful “for the first time in years” because of President Trump’s policies protecting America.

And the American people overwhelmingly support President Trump's immigration agenda.

President Trump has kept his promise to the American people. And despite what Democrats claimed, we didn't need a bunch of new laws to do so. We just needed a new President.
