Retaliation against the Hunter whistleblower?

According to a new report from the New York Post:

“The IRS on Monday removed the ‘entire investigative team’ from its long-running tax fraud probe of first son Hunter Biden in alleged retaliation against the whistleblower who recently contacted Congress to allege a cover-up in the case… The purge allegedly was done on the orders of the Justice Department, the whistleblower’s attorneys informed congressional leaders in a letter.”

...The Justice Department is being cited as the agency ordering the change. It should be able to address concerns. If this reflects a change in the status of the investigation, the DOJ should be able to explain why the entire team was reportedly removed.

This is extremely concerning, especially given what has been previously reported. Here’s a reminder:

According to The Wall Street Journal, “An IRS supervisor has told lawmakers he has information that suggests the Biden administration is improperly handling the criminal investigation into President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.”
The report continued: “A letter sent to Congress on Tuesday says a career Internal Revenue Service criminal supervisory special agent has information that would contradict sworn testimony by a ‘senior political appointee.’” According to CBS News, that appointee is Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Was this retaliation against the whistleblower? Where are the Democrats demanding answers? So far, it’s just crickets. The American people deserve answers.
