Senate Democrats cover up Cuomo’s cover-up

Instead of siding with American families searching for answers, Senate Democrats covered for Democrat governors dodging accountability for their devasting nursing home orders that led to thousands of unnecessary deaths.

In the middle of the night, Senate Democrats blocked an amendment to hold states accountable for underreporting coronavirus nursing home deaths.

A reminder – here’s who Democrats are protecting:

• Andrew Cuomo’s administration covered up data so it would not be “used against us” in an investigation, he threatened to “destroy” Democrat lawmakers asking questions, and his aides rewrote a report to hide the higher death toll while Cuomo was writing his book.
• Gretchen Whitmer renewed her nursing home orders three times, but now she is refusing to release the data on their impacts. To make matters worse, her health department director resigned, and Whitmer bought his silence with a $150,000 taxpayer-funded confidentiality agreement.

Americans deserve the truth, but Senate Democrats decided not to give it to them. Cuomo and Whitmer must be pleased.
