Terry McAuliffe Has A Lying Problem

Rapid Response

Terry McAuliffe has a lying problem.

After calling parents rightfully concerned about critical race theory (CRT) "racist," "right-wing" conspiracy theorists, McAuliffe is now falsely claiming CRT concerns are "made up" and that CRT "is not taught here in Virginia."

His latest lie is a whopper. No, critical race theory concerns are not “made up”:

  • Alexandria City Public Schools actively promotes resources aligned with critical race theory.
  • Loudoun County Public Schools paid more than $420,000 to a left-wing consulting firm for an “equity audit” within its schools and threatened parents who disagreed.
  • Fairfax County Public Schools contracted with a similar left-wing firm for an “anti-Racism, anti-Bias Education Curriculum Policy.”
  • The Virginia Department of Education’s 2020 “equity summit” featured a speech about “systemic racism” and “dismantling capitalism” from critical race theorist Bettina Love.

The list goes on and on.

It’s easy to see why McAuliffe is lying; after all, most Virginians view critical race theory unfavorably and voters in northern Virginia are far less likely to vote for a candidate who supports it. And just one-third of Virginians believe school boards should have more of an influence on curriculum than parents.

McAuliffe is a liar, and no amount of gaslighting will distract from McAuliffe’s decidedly anti-parent, anti-student agenda.
