Back in November Biden asked, “Did you ever think you’d be paying this much for a gallon of gas?” Gas prices were 12 cents a gallon cheaper back then.

Now, gas prices have surged to 8-year highs, and have reached record levels – nearly $5 a gallon – in California. American households already paid $1,000 more last year on energy costs before the crisis in Ukraine. That does not even include the hidden energy costs in everyday goods and services that added fuel to the $276 per month Bidenflation tax on American families.
Biden’s anti-American energy agenda sent prices skyrocketing, destroyed U.S. energy independence, and hammered American families.
That’s why his attempts to blame high gas prices on Ukraine ring hollow. If gas was over $1 a gallon cheaper, like it was under Trump, Americans would be much better positioned to weather those increases. Further, his administration has no real plan to lower costs and refuses to increase American production.
Biden promised to keep Putin in check. He failed. And his anti-energy agenda has left American consumers to foot the bill.
