Biden’s border crisis is both a humanitarian and security crisis.
As the Del Rio camp overwhelmed officials, 224 miles of the border were unpatrolled. What does that mean? Free rein for criminals. According to Biden-appointed Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz, cartels and traffickers are “dictating” illegal traffic over the border in order to distract Border Patrol, allowing illicit operations to cross undetected.
The national security threat is real. According to Rodney Scott, former Border Patrol Chief: “we have nation-state threats, we have terrorist threats – we can’t get into in this type of a forum, but they’re real, they exist, and they want to come across that border…statistically, it always includes rapists, murderers, potentially terrorists, every single year.”
In just one weekend, criminals at the border included sexual predators, abusers, and gang members.

And those were just some of the criminals who were caught. As put by Chief Rodney Scott, “to think that there’s not just as bad or worse people in those getting away would be naïve.”
