According to Joe Biden, if you voted against overturning D.C.’s far-left pro-criminal law, you “support…lowering penalties for carjackings.” That’s essentially what he said in his tweet yesterday. 173 House Democrats did just that.
Let’s get one thing straight: This is a “big win” for Republicans. Biden would’ve never overturned the law unless forced to by Congress. Case in point: he was against overturning the law before he was for it, and bizarrely believes it’s a “clear example” of why Congress should lose the authority to overturn D.C.’s disastrous laws.
Yeah. Makes no sense.
House Democrats are understandably infuriated that Biden left them out to dry. They should remember that the next Biden asks them for a favor. Ultimately, though, they only have themselves to blame. It’s not just D.C. weakening its criminal code. From New York to Portland, Democrats have pursued pro-criminal, defund-the-police agendas that have increased violent crime.
“The White House f***** this up royally,” one House Democrat told The Hill pointing 2 the SAP & noting that Dems leaders told them Biden would use his veto pen.

House Dems furious/feel blindsided by Biden -> https://t.co/xtFTeM43o7
House Democrats are mainly angry they had to put what they really believe on paper.
