Attorney General Merrick Garland, whose Department of Justice (DOJ) is targeting concerned parents for “possible acts of domestic terrorism,” insisted in his testimony today that the DOJ is not, in fact, targeting parents.
3. Jordan: “Will FBI agents be attending local school board meetings?” Garland: No. Jordan: You said you’re not treating parents as domestic terrorists but the DOJ press release accompanying your memo says the national security division will be targeting school board meetings.

Let’s unpack this.
Across the country, concerned parents have taken to local school board meetings in protest of the radical, left-wing ideology – including critical race theory (CRT) – that is permeating public schools.
Last month, the National School Boards Association (NSBA) implored Biden’s DOJ to investigate concerned parents for “domestic terrorism and hate crimes” under a swath of federal laws, including the PATRIOT Act. Just days later, Biden’s DOJ issued a memorandum targeting parents who are critical of local school boards.
But in today’s testimony, Garland bizarrely claimed the DOJ investigation stemmed from “newspaper reports” before eventually admitting the “source” of the investigation was indeed the NSBA letter.

Armed with stale talking points, Garland refused to engage on Biden weaponizing the DOJ to silence parents.
It’s clear why Biden wants parents shut out; the fact is that Democrats do not believe parents should be involved in the education of their children. Miguel Cardona, Biden’s Secretary of Education, said as much – so did Virginia Democrat Terry McAuliffe.
