The Largest Tax Cut in American History is “Crumbs” to Rep. Susie Lee

Rapid Response

Nevada Democrat Rep. Susie Lee is dripping in thousands of dollars' worth of clothes and accessories after she called President Trump's historic tax cuts — including No Tax on Tips and Overtime — "crumbs."

If it were up to Lee, Nevadans would be forced to give up more of their hard-earned taxpayer dollars to help fund her lavish lifestyle.

Susie Lee shamelessly voted against these historic wins for hardworking Nevadans:

  • 440,000 tipped workers in the state benefitting from No Tax on Tips.
  • Saving the average Nevada family $4,301 on their taxes this year.
  • Delivering No Tax on Social Security for Nevada’s 500,000 seniors.
  • Establishing No Tax on Overtime, cutting taxes for many of the 20% of Nevadans who regularly work overtime.
  • Extending the 199A passthrough deduction for small businesses, benefiting as many as 49,000 firms in Nevada.
  • Securing over $179 million in rural healthcare investment.
  • Delivering an increase in wages of up to $6,700 per person over the next several years.
  • Protecting 64,000 full-time equivalent jobs in the state of Nevada.

To Lee, who spends thousands on accessories, these tax cuts may be nothing more than "crumbs." But hardworking Nevadans know the value of a dollar, and the tax cuts Lee voted against have put real money back into their pockets and made a meaningful difference for families across the state.
