Rapid Response

“Retreat,” “pathetic,” “backtrack,” “low bar,” and “slippery” … Just a few ways Joe Biden’s abandonment of science and children have been described by the media, pundits, and health experts as he continues to keep schools closed.

A few highlights:

  • AP: Is one day a week enough? Biden’s school goal draws blowback
  • The Wall Street Journal: The Teachers Unions Roll Over Biden
  • Politico Playbook PM: A big Biden backtrack on school reopenings
  • RealClearPolitics: Biden's School Reopening Pledge Sets Low Bar, Critics Note
  • The Hill: Biden administration sends conflicting signals on school reopenings
  • Politico: Lowry: Reopening Schools Has Become a Bipartisan Issue. Why Isn’t Biden Pushing Harder?
  • The Washington Free Beacon: House GOP Accuses Biden of Rejecting Scientific Consensus on School Reopenings
  • CNN’s Jake Tapper: “there is conflict between the health officials and the teachers' unions, and I have seen no evidence the Biden White House is willing to say or do anything to side with health officials when they are in conflict.”
  • AP’s Jonathan Lemire: “it’s nearly an unanimous opinion from health officials…the Biden administration has caught some real criticism on this”

Even the folks at MSNBC are saying enough is enough with Biden’s “pathetic” retreat in the face of Democrat special interest groups.

The question for Biden was simple on reopening schools – would he listen to the health experts or to Democrat special interest groups.  And unfortunately for American families and children, it is clear that he has chosen to listen to the latter.
