The latest jobs report showed that wage growth declined rapidly in December, and included major downward revisions to October and November.
As described by ADP Chief Economist Nela Richardson: “If you look at that [wage] number, that is well below inflation. And so for a worker seeing their wages go down instead of up in terms of the value of their dollar it’s not a good situation.”
