The Red State Recovery

The contrast could not be clearer: Republican governors are leading a Red State Recovery, while Joe Biden is squandering the economy he inherited.

New data from the Labor Department speaks for itself:

• 16 of the top 20 states for jobs recovered since the coronavirus pandemic hit are led by Republican governors, including the top 13 states for jobs recovered. 18 of the top 20 have Republican legislatures.
• Out of the top 18 states with the lowest unemployment rates, 15 are led by Republican governors, including the seven states with the lowest unemployment rates.
  • The 10 states with the highest unemployment rates are all led by Democrat governors.
• The average unemployment rate for Republican-led states is just 4.5%, 1.6 points lower than the Democrat-led states’ average of 6.1%.

But as Republican governors work to reopen their economies, Biden’s radical agenda is standing in the way.

A majority of Americans now say that Biden paying people not to work is “hurting the economy.”

And amid historically high price spikes, 83% of Americans, including 80% of Democrats, are “very” or “extremely” concerned about rising prices.

Indeed, Americans are already paying Biden’s hidden tax. 70% of Americans say rising prices at the grocery store have “caused hardship,” with similar pain felt throughout the economy.

It’s clear: Republican-led states are leading the way because Republican policies work. And Biden’s policies? They just don’t.
