The Taliban's "kill list"

Rapid Response

Did the Biden administration essentially give the Taliban a “kill list” with the names of U.S. citizens and allies still in Afghanistan?

According to Politico, “U.S. officials in Kabul gave the Taliban a list of names of American citizens, green card holders and Afghan allies to grant entry into the militant-controlled outer perimeter of the city’s airport … ‘Basically, they just put all those Afghans on a kill list,’ said one defense official, who like others spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive topic. ‘It’s just appalling and shocking and makes you feel unclean.’”

Astonishingly, Biden refused to deny the reporting, saying “there may have been.”

“There may have been” is not a good enough response from the president. Biden refused to guarantee all Americans will be safely evacuated out of the country, and now those people and our allies may have a target on their backs. Americans deserve to know if the Taliban was given a “kill list.”
