The U.S. is an oil producing country

Newsflash for the Biden administration: The U.S. is an oil producing country. We would be in a much stronger position internationally and at home if we produced more.

It’s a simple concept Biden and his advisors seem unable to grasp.

• Biden is begging OPEC to produce more oil instead of empowering domestic producers.
• White House economic advisor Jared Bernstein jumped through hoops to declare the U.S. an “oil consuming” instead of “producing” nation.
• Press Secretary Jen Psaki could not detail any plans to increase domestic energy production even as war looms in Europe.

Not too long ago under President Trump, the U.S. was energy independent. Not so under Biden after he attacked American energy from day one – canceling pipelines, blocking leases, and undermining domestic energy production at every step.

Think of how much stronger the U.S. position in regards to Russia would be if Biden unleashed American energy instead of attacking it. Think of how much lower inflation would be if gas prices weren’t at 8-year highs and consumers weren’t paying an extra $1,000 for their energy bills.

The best way to secure American energy is to produce it at home. It’s a lesson Biden needs to learn, and quick.
