The worst jobs report of the year

The Biden “plan” is not working. These are just a few of the ways experts are describing the worst jobs report of the year:

• “A huge miss”
• “Weaker than expected”
• “Disappointment”
• “Less than half of what economists were expecting.”
• “[Wage gains] not keeping up with the inflation”
• “Doubly disappointing”

Today's employment report is doubly disappointing, because the reference week occurred just as it looked like covid was on the retreat. This was a moment for people to return to malls and to return to work. The covid-related news has only gotten worse since then.

 This report was just no good:

• At 210,000 jobs, 350,000 FEWER jobs were created than expected, with jobs lost in the retail, state & local education, nursing homes, and daycare industries.
  • We’re still 8.2 million jobs below the pre-pandemic trend.

• A 30-year high in inflation continues to wipe out real wages as nominal wage growth fell short of expectations.

If Biden wants to learn how to create jobs, he should look to Republican governors. Through October, 17 of the top 20 states for jobs recovered since the pandemic are led by Republicans.

But instead, Biden wants to double down on his failed policies with job-destroying mandates and socialist spending. That’s not what the American people want or need.

It’s clear – Republican policies work, and Biden and the Democrats’ policies don’t.
