- January 9, 2023: CBS News first reports the U.S. Attorney is investigating classified documents from Biden’s time as vice president that were found stowed away in Biden’s private office.
- January 10, 2023: Biden addresses the scandal for the first time by claiming he takes classified documents “seriously,” but makes no mention of the classified documents found at his home.
