Joe Biden will visit Maui later today, almost two weeks after unprecedented wildfires devastated the island.
But first, Biden needed a vacation at the beach — then he needed another vacation.
"Where's the president?" asks one survivor of the Maui wildfires.

Recall: All Biden had to offer on his vacation was a smirk and a “no comment.” Then, he immediately went into hiding — but kept smirking. Instead, the administration offered victims a one-time $700 check — “a slap in the face” when compared to the scale of the devastation, according to one survivor.
Now, almost two weeks later, Biden’s fly-by comes too little, too late for many residents.
Meanwhile, federal officials have no idea what the death toll is with 1,000 still missing — as the state’s Democrat officials squabble over climate change.
Of course, Biden has a history of ignoring disasters; months later, he’s still ignoring East Palestine. But amid the worst wildfire in more than a century, Biden is still asleep at the wheel.
“Where’s the president?” one survivor asked last week.
Indeed.
