Let’s play two truths and a lie, Biden energy edition.
- Biden Statement 1: “I’m doing everything I can to bring down prices.”
- Biden Statement 2: “We work with U.S. oil producers to ramp up production.”
- Biden Statement 3: “Let’s be absolutely clear about why prices are high right now: COVID and Vladimir Putin.”
Fine, you got me, all THREE statements are lies.
- Fact Check 1: Biden sent prices surging with his anti-energy executive orders and his reckless spending. He could reverse those orders today, but he’s not. Instead, he is doubling down.
- Fact Check 2: As recently as a few days ago, the Biden administration said they “remain committed” to eliminating fossil fuels. That’s literally the opposite of “ramp[ing] up production.”
- Fact Check 3: The consumer price index has been at or above 5% for 11 months – even liberal economists blame Biden. Further, energy prices were surging months before Putin’s invasion, costing the average American family $1,000 in 2021.
Things are so bad, we are literally exporting oil from our own reserve to Europe. Newsflash for Biden – stop depleting our energy savings, stop sending it overseas, and unleash American energy instead.
