Under Biden, it's big government vs. small business

Rapid Response

Are you a struggling small business trying to reopen? Joe Biden says too bad.

By paying people more not to work, Biden’s big government programs are in effect forcing small businesses, many of which barely made it through the pandemic, to compete with higher unemployment payments for workers.

It’s crushing mom-and-pop shops around the country, with many businesses forced to limit working hours and services, close completely on certain days, or jack up their prices on consumers because of the labor shortage.

Here are a few of their stories:

A restaurant owner said he was forced to reduce hours because they aren’t even getting applications for workers.

A Michigan restaurant owner said he can’t find staff because of Biden’s policies.

A Michigan bakery owner said in the past she “would immediately get dozens of applications” after posting job openings, but now they’re lucky to get “one or two…trickling in.”

A Maine small business owner commented that “we’re putting ads on paper, on Facebook, and online…it’s you know the government funding.”

A Jersey Shore hotel owner told NBC News that “It’s never been this hard to hire.”

An Atlantic City casino owner says the labor shortage will “impact the guest experience,” as NBC News reported it could also mean “higher prices.”

A restaurant owner in New York told CNN that “we have no staff to open for lunch at all.”

Joe Biden is paying Americans not to work, and small businesses can’t compete. His massive government agenda is crushing small businesses and squandering the recovery he inherited.
