The Biden administration’s message to Americans stranded in Kabul: “You’re on the clock.”
During a press briefing today, Biden’s Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said they will keep evacuating Americans “until the clock runs out.” His answer should’ve been, “until every American is safely evacuated.”

Americans are currently blocked from the airport and trapped in their homes. They are desperate for help, but Biden refuses to give it to them. The airport crowds are chaotic, “impossible” to navigate through. One video shows an American woman, only feet from American soldiers, desperately screaming, “get us, get us, we cannot get this way, they’ve blocked it.”

The Biden administration has no plan to rescue stranded Americans, they have no plan to extend capabilities beyond the airport, they refuse to offer security guarantees, and they are already conceding that every American won’t be evacuated from Kabul.
This is Biden’s failure. Because of his botched withdrawal, thousands of Americans are in danger, and instead of helping them, he’s put them on the clock. A question for Biden: What happens when the clock runs out?
