Vance Visits Michigan: Making America Better For The Next Generation

Vice President JD Vance joined U.S. Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer and Representative Tom Barrett (R-MI 07) today at Hatch Stamping Company in Howell, Michigan to speak to Michiganders about the tremendous benefits created by President Trump's One, Big, Beautiful Bill.

Vice President Vance took a moment to honor Charlie Kirk and the Turning Point USA members in attendance: “Over the past ten years, Turning Point USA has not just been an organization - it has been a fountain of a movement."
 

Michigan is home to over 6 million taxpayers who would have faced a 25% tax increase if the One, Big, Beautiful Bill did not pass.

Thanks to President Trump and Republican leaders like Rep. Barrett, Michigan’s working families have real tax relief.

Meanwhile, Democrat Representatives Kristen McDonald Rivet (D-MI 08), Rep. Rahshida Tlaib (D-MI 12) and Haley Stevens (D-MI 11) and Senators Elissa Slotkin and Gary Peters all voted for massive tax hikes that include:

• $1,352 tax hike for families of 4 making $69,183
• 50% reduction in the Child Tax Credit which would have impacted over 1 million Michigan residents
• 50% reduction in the Guaranteed Deduction which would have impacted 94% of Michigan residents
• 43.4% tax rate that would have impacted 703,730 small businesses
• 50% reduction in the Death Tax Exemptions that would have impacted 43,302 family-owned farms
• Continuing Tax on Tips, Overtime, and Social Security

And now, Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer is refusing to ask for President Trump’s help to keep Michigan cities safe.

Michigan deserves better than the failing policies of these Democrats.
