Voters defund Democrats

Rapid Response

Democrats spent months advocating for defunding the police … voters resoundingly rejected them.

As a reminder, here’s 7 minutes of Democrats – from ‘the Squad’ to Nancy Pelosi to Kamala Harris – supporting defunding the police.

Last Tuesday voters remembered, and the red wave even ousted Democrats in the bluest of blue states:

  • In Minneapolis, voters overwhelmingly rejected a ballot measure to eliminate their police department after a sharp spike in violent crime.

  • A “red wave” swept New York as Republicans had their best night in the Empire State since 2016.
    • Republican Anne Donnelly became the first District Attorney in Nassau County originally elected as a Republicans since the 1960s.
    • Republican Ray Tierney soundly defeated the incumbent Democrat District Attorney in Suffolk County.
    • Republicans won the newly created 5th District State Supreme Court seat.
    • Voters rejected socialist and defund-the-police mayoral candidate India Walton in Buffalo, who was trounced by a write-in campaign.

  • In Seattle, Ann Davison was the first Republican elected as city attorney in more than three decades, defeating radical Democrat candidate Nicole Thomas-Kennedy who ran on abolishing the police and eliminating misdemeanor prosecutions.

Senator Rick Scott recently joined RNC Chairman Ronna McDaniel on her “Real America” podcast to discuss why Republican policies work, and what that means for 2022.

Democrats have controlled our cities for years, and they have failed. They backed defunding the police, and now crime is up. Voters remember, and that should worry every Democrat politician.
