What Biden needs to say on the border

Joe Biden is finally giving a speech on his border crisis today. Here’s what he needs to do if it’s to mean anything at all.

• Admit the border is NOT secure.
• Apologize for his administration’s repeated lies about “control,” “progress” and a working “process” at the border.
• Fire Alejandro Mayorkas and relieve Kamala Harris of her duties as border czar.
• Acknowledge the death and destruction his policies have caused.
• Reverse his open borders policies that created the unprecedented crisis in the first place.
• Announce a real plan to stop the record-breaking fentanyl smuggling.

That’s just the start, but it’s what the American people deserve. Given Biden’s smirk yesterday when asked about the border, we won’t hold our breath.
