We just found out that the Energy Department has finally pulled a $200 million grant to a Chinese Communist Party-linked “green” energy company after months of scrutiny from Congressional Republicans.
Thanks to the sunlight shown by House and Senate Republicans, this grant was stopped. But why was the company set to receive a $200 million grant in the first place? Are there other CCP-linked companies set to receive grants? What is the vetting process? Why did it take so long for the Energy Department to pull the grant? Did they only pull this grant because of the public scrutiny?
Last night—right before our hearing with the @ENERGY office that awarded the grant—the Biden administration reversed its decision to award the $200 million.

Americans deserve every assurance that their hard-earned tax dollars are not being funneled to China.
Astonishingly, a top Energy official rejected an invite to testify before the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
Unacceptable. Americans deserve transparency.
