WHERE'S JOE?

Rapid Response

Where’s Joe?

For the third day in a row, Biden has a grand total of zero events on his public schedule.

Biden’s schedule has looked more like a retiree than a commander-in-chief since he returned from his multiple Christmas vacations — not that it was ever particularly grueling.

In the past 20 days, Biden has held just two events: a pair of angry speeches. He also made a brief appearance at a funeral visitation and spent time in transit from his various vacation destinations.

Much of Biden’s past three weeks, however, has simply been spent doing nothing — going days without making a public appearance and calling mid-afternoon lids.

It’s not like Biden is using that time to speak with Americans; his last sit-down interview with a news journalist was on October 15, 2023 — 88 days ago. His last solo press conference on U.S. soil was on November 15, 2023 — 57 days ago.

And it’s not like Biden is particularly attuned to his own administration; he wasn’t even told about the incapacitation of his own defense secretary for three days.

So, what has Biden been doing? Does he require days of practice to deliver a half-hour speech? Does he need a multi-day cooldown after doing a single event?

He certainly hasn’t been “working around the clock,” as Karine Jean-Pierre claimed.

Americans will send Biden on a forced retirement in November.
