Raphael Warnock’s church is giving him more than $7,400 a month for a housing allowance (plus over $120,000 a year in salary and benefits), but is evicting people for owing less than $30 in past-due rent.
This is according to the Washington Free Beacon, who chronicled how Warnock’s church is evicting people from their homes. The church’s business partner is now filing eviction lawsuits against residents. The total past-due rent cited in the lawsuits is $4,900 – less than the housing stipend Warnock receives in a single month.
“They treat me like a piece of sh*t” … that’s how one Vietnam veteran described it. At best, Warnock has looked the other way. Herschel Walker isn’t though. He has offered to cover the past-due rent so that people can stay in their homes.
Warnock needs to answer, why is he letting people be forced out of their homes?
