Yes, We Left Equipment in Afghanistan

Rapid Response

Today, top Biden spokesman John Kirby claimed it is a “farce” that weapons were left in Afghanistan following Biden’s botched withdrawal.

The only “farce” here is Kirby’s statement.

The indisputable truth (backed by U.S. defense officials) is that billions of dollars of military equipment was left behind in Afghanistan following the deadly, chaotic withdrawal of U.S. troops in August 2021 — and it was ripe for the Taliban’s picking.

“You see American military equipment EVERYWHERE,” said an Afghanistan-based reporter at the time.

It offered a  “massive new war chest” for Taliban terrorists. The $7.2+ billion taxpayer-funded haul included aircraft, air-to-ground munitions, vehicles, weapons, and even surveillance, communications, and biometric equipment.

Don’t take our word for it; it was all outlined in a 148-page report by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction.

Now, after the Biden administration’s abject failure on multiple fronts, the equipment is reportedly being used by insurgents in additional terror-prone countries.

We’re all less safe because of Biden.
