MEMORIAL DAY WILL COST AMERICANS MORE

• Heading into Memorial Day weekend, Americans will be forced to spend significantly more on their barbeques, shopping, and travel plans thanks to Bidenflation.
• Memorial Day cookouts will cost more under Biden, with hot dogs up 2 percent, rolls up 13 percent, condiments up 13 percent, and beer up 6 percent.
  • For dessert, prices are up 14 percent for pies, 13 percent for ice cream, and 16 percent for cookies.
• Holiday weekend travel will also squeeze American wallets, with airfares nearly 10 percent higher than pre-pandemic prices and hotels up 3.5 percent from last year and 15 percent since 2019.  
• It’s not just airfare, as U.S. average gas prices currently sit at $3.57 per gallonwhich is more than $1.00 higher than when Biden became president.

VACATION INFLATION

• It’s not just Memorial Day – higher prices are impacting Americans’ vacation plans in general.
• 80 percent of Americans say they are changing their summer travel plans because of Bidenflation.
  • Of the more than one-third of Americans who say they are not taking a summer vacation, 58% said that this is the case because they can’t afford to, up from 48 percent last year.
  • Many Americans are choosing to stay closer to home or drive instead of fly in order to cut costs.
• International airfares are predicted to reach their highest levels in five years this summer.
