Wisconsinites Are Facing Surging Prices Under Biden, And The State’s Farmers Are Under Threat Of Biden’s New Death Tax

THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION IS FAILING WISCONSIN WORKERS, FAMILIES, AND FARMERS

• By killing the Keystone XL pipeline, Biden cost Wisconsin nearly 2,000 union jobs.
  • “Hundreds” of Wisconsin workers were quickly laid off after Biden’s executive order killed the pipeline.
• Biden has embraced the $93 trillion Green New Deal, which would crush Wisconsin’s farmers and agricultural producers. 
  • The Green New Deal would cause $200 million in annual losses to Wisconsin farmers and cost the Wisconsin dairy industry $2.5 billion, or $2,000 per cow. 
  • It would cost the average Wisconsin family more than $40,000 every year. 
• Wisconsin farmers have sued to stop the Biden administration’s discriminatory and unconstitutional USDA aid program created by Democrats’ $1.9 trillion stimulus, which gives assistance to farmers based on the color of their skin, not on need.

WISCONSINITES ARE FACING RISING PRICES UNDER BIDEN

• Biden’s plan to bankrupt America includes $6 trillion in spending and $3 trillion in tax hikes.
  • Economists have warned trillions in new federal spending is a recipe for inflation. 
• Wisconsinites already see higher prices for the goods and products they need.
• Nationally, consumer prices have jumped 5 percent over the 12-month period ending in May, the fastest pace since 2008.
  • In the Midwest, prices rose 5.6 percent over that period.
• Housing has become less affordable, with the National Association of Realtors reporting that home prices have increased more than $66,000 from a year ago. 
  • The average price of a home in Wisconsin is up 10.3 percent in the last year. 
• Wisconsin gas prices have risen 30 percent under Biden, and are up 43 percent from where they were last June. 
• Used car prices in Wisconsin, a key inflation indicator, rose 12.3 percent – or $3,000 – since last year.

BIDEN’S DEATH TAX WOULD CRUSH WISCONSIN FARMERS

• Part of Biden’s American Bankruptcy Plan calls for repealing the step-up in basis tax provision, a death tax that will disproportionately hurt family-owned businesses and farms in Wisconsin, many of which have valuable assets on paper but are “cash poor.”
  • This would make it more difficult for Wisconsin dairy farmers to pass their family farms down to the next generation. 
  • 96 percent of Wisconsin farms are family farms. 
• Biden’s death tax could potentially require Wisconsin families to “liquidate businesses, leverage assets, or lay off employees to cover the tax hit.”
• Biden’s death tax would hurt farm workers through “reduced labor productivity, wages, and employment.” 
  • Workers will bear one-third of the costs of this tax hike, lowering their wages.
  • For every $100 of revenue raised from repealing stepped-up basis, workers’ wages decrease by $32.
