THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION GETS AN “F”

This week, Biden’s Education Secretary Miguel Cardona is embarking on a back-to-school bus tour to tout the administration’s failed education and COVID policies.
Under Biden, kids were kept out of in-person school last spring and have fallen behind despite parents’ best efforts.
- 79 percent of parents want their children to be back in-person this fall.
Many children face an oppressive curriculum of critical race theory as they return to school this fall.
As Biden’s policies lead to rapid inflation, parents are being forced to pay higher prices for just about everything back-to-school related.
On Biden’s watch, there is a school bus driver shortage, causing a crisis for parents and keeping children out of schools yet again by not providing them transportation.

BIDEN IS BEHOLDEN TO TEACHERS UNIONS

Biden does not have the best interests of children in mind, only the teachers unions that donate to him.
The American Federation of Teachers (AFT) influenced the CDC’s school reopening guidance, with suggested language included almost verbatim.
- AFT President Randi Weingarten has continued to refuse to commit to opening schools this fall, only saying “we’re going to try.”
Biden’s CDC Director Rochelle Walensky admitted to changing guidance to give teachers unions “what they need,” prioritizing special interest groups over the needs of students.

KIDS ARE FALLING BEHIND

Biden’s policies have kept students out of in-person schools longer than needed, potentially affecting them for the rest of their lives.
Students should have been in school last spring, with 97 percent of educators reporting learning loss among their students.
A McKinsey report found that students will potentially lose $61,000 to $82,000 in lifetime earnings as a result of the pandemic.
- Minority students will be disproportionately hurt, with Black students seeing a 3.3 percent reduction in earnings and Hispanic students seeing a 3 percent reduction.
Researchers have consistently found that Black and Hispanic children and kids living in poverty are more vulnerable to falling behind, especially in an online learning environment.
- At 40 high schools with predominately low-income students in Chicago, IL, one in every five grades handed out in math or English was an F.
Biden’s policies kept many schools closed this past spring, and his administration has not ruled out further lockdowns or school closures.

BIDEN’S ILLOGICAL MASK MANDATES

Biden wants to force preschoolers to wear masks in school, despite the possible negative effects.
Despite the evidence, Press Secretary Jen Psaki claimed there is “no” concern over possible detrimental physiological effects of forcing kids to wear masks in school.
- The European Centre For Disease Prevention (ECDP) takes the opposite approach to the Biden administration, recommending that students under 12 do not wear masks.
- The American Institute for Economic Research found that “There is tremendous psychological damage to infants and children, with potential catastrophic impacts on the cognitive development of children.”
Biden openly attacked states that sought to prevent mask mandates for 3-year-old preschool students.
- Biden attempted to impose these mandates despite the extremely low rate of infection and very low risk of severe illness for children, with new evidence indicating the risk is even lower than previously believed.
Biden’s Department of Education opened “civil rights investigations” into five Republican-led states that banned school mask mandates.
Despite Biden demanding the American people follow his COVID restrictions, he and his fellow Democrats continue to hypocritically break these very same rules.

THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION EMBRACED CRITICAL RACE THEORY IN THE CLASSROOM

Critical race theory is a divisive theory built on the intellectual framework of identity-based Marxism, which teaches that racism is embedded throughout American society.
Biden has incorporated critical race theory throughout his administration:
- Biden rescinded President Trump’s executive order banning critical race theory training in the federal government on his first day in office.
- Biden’s Education Secretary Miguel Cardona pushed to prioritize grant money for teaching critical race theory, citing the work of the 1619 Project and far-left radical Ibram X. Kendi.
This embrace of CRT has led to kindergartners being taught to be ashamed of their skin color and Americans pitted against one another.

PARENTS FACE RISING BACK-TO-SCHOOL PRICES

This school year, prices have skyrocketed due to Bidenflation.
- Parents are paying more to feed their kids breakfast, with bacon up 17 percent, eggs up 9.9 percent, and apples up 5.6 percent.
- A new back-to-school wardrobe is also more expensive, with apparel up 4.2 percent, and kids’ footwear up 5.9 percent.
- School supplies themselves are increasing, with school instruments up 3.2 percent, computers up 3.4 percent, and stationary up 9.9 percent.
- The price of tuition for elementary and high school is up 3.1 percent.
