IN THE MIDDLE OF A CRISIS, BIDEN IS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND

  • While the Taliban takes over Afghanistan, Biden continues his summer vacation at Camp David, hiding from the consequences of his failure.
    • Instead of addressing the nation or facing the press to answer for his failed handling of Afghanistan, the White House says Biden will not speak publicly until sometime in “the next few days.”
    • The Taliban held a press conference from the presidential palace in Kabul before President Biden held one from the White House. 

THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION REPEATEDLY SAID THIS WOULD NOT HAPPEN

  • The Taliban has taken Afghanistan without much of a fight.
    • The Biden administration reportedly refused to allow contractor maintenance crews into Afghanistan to service aircraft in the country’s Air Force, effectively grounding
  • On multiple occasions, the Biden administration promised the American people there was no imminent threat to the city of Kabul and the United States Embassy.
    • In June, Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated, “We are staying, the embassy is staying … I would not necessarily equate the departure of forces in July, August, or by early September with some immediate deterioration in the situation.”
    • In July, Biden said “There’s going to be no circumstance where you see people being lifted off the roof of a embassy in the — of the United States from Afghanistan . . . the likelihood there’s going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely.”
    • Less than 48 hours before the fall of Kabul, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said “There is no intention right now to close the embassy . . . The situation in Kabul is calm right now.”
  • Last week, Biden stated “I do not regret my decisionwhen questioned about Afghanistan
