BIDEN BLAMES EVERYONE BUT HIMSELF

Biden’s presidency has been defined by crises – on his watch, Americans have seen rising prices, a botched Afghanistan withdrawal, a crisis at our southern border, and a disastrous coronavirus response.
Biden now faces a “credibility crisis” as he refuses to take responsibility for any of his failures.
Despite Biden’s failure to take accountability, Americans blame Biden for his failed policies.
- Nearly 6 in 10 Americans believe Biden’s policies are to blame for high inflation.
- A plurality of Americans blame Biden for the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, causing his approval rating to fall to a new low.
- Voters overwhelmingly blame Biden for the border crisis.

BIDEN REFUSES TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR PRICE INCREASES

Under Biden, Americans are experiencing historic price increases, with U.S. gas prices the highest they have been in seven years.
- The Biden administration tried to deflect blame away from Biden’s anti-energy agenda by calling for an investigation into “illegal activity” within the U.S. gas industry.
Meat prices have also surged despite the Biden administration bragging just over two months ago that Americans would save 16 cents on their July Fourth barbeque.
- Now, Biden is blaming the meat industry for high prices.
In July, Biden used the pandemic as an excuse for rising prices, saying it would be “temporary,” despite experts forecasting that “higher inflation is here to stay for years.”
In August, Biden deflected blame onto the Federal Reserve saying, “[we] trust the Fed to take appropriate action if and when it’s needed.”
In September, Biden blamed the delta variant and unvaccinated Americans for a weak August jobs report despite promising during the campaign he had a plan to “shut down the virus.”
While Biden pushes blame onto others, it is his own policies that have contributed to skyrocketing prices.
- Biden already spent $1.9 trillion on his failed boondoggle and wants to spend trillions more on his and Democrats’ radical agenda, all while his administration supports paying Americans not to work, hurting small businesses, and stifling a robust recovery.

BIDEN SHIFTS BLAME ON AFGHANISTAN

Biden refused to take responsibility or hold any member of his team responsible for his failed Afghanistan withdrawal.
- 13 U.S. service members made the ultimate sacrifice due to Biden's botched Afghanistan withdrawal, despite the administration’s previous statements that the withdrawal would be conducted in a “safe, orderly and effective way.”
Biden blamed the previous administration for his disastrous withdrawal despite bragging in April and July that the manner and timeline of the withdrawal was his decision.
- Biden set an artificial withdrawal deadline, caving to the Taliban’s demand that all American forces be out by August 31^st.
After Kabul fell to the Taliban, Biden blamed Afghan political leaders and the Afghan military for collapsing “without trying to fight.”
Now, Americans “who want to leave” Afghanistan are still trapped due to Biden’s failed policies.

BIDEN BLAMES THE UNVACCINATED FOR THE PANDEMIC

When Biden ran for office, he promised to “shut down the virus” – eight months into his presidency he has failed to do so.
Now, Biden is blaming unvaccinated Americans for the ongoing pandemic, saying, “a distinct minority of Americans, supported by a distinct minority of elected officials, are keeping us from turning the corner.”
- Biden also blamed some elected officials of “actively working to undermine the fight against COVID-19.”
While Biden is forcing an unconstitutional vaccine mandate on American citizens, he is not mandating the vaccine for illegal immigrants.
- Biden’s reckless open borders agenda has led to COVID-positive illegal immigrantscoming into American communities.
Biden has also declined to give President Trump credit for the vaccine he inherited, instead choosing to mislead people about Operation Warp Speed.
- In addition, Biden has not apologized for sowing doubt about the vaccine during the campaign.

BIDEN REFUSES BLAME FOR THE CRISIS AT OUR SOUTHERN BORDER

In March, Biden tried to deflect blame on the southern border by saying the surge in border crossings was seasonal.
- Yet the border crisis continued to worsen throughout the hottest part of the year, leading to Biden’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas finally admitting the crisis was not seasonal.
In April, Biden blamed the Trump administration for ongoing problems at the U.S.-Mexico border, saying he inherited “one god-awful mess at the border.”
- However, when Biden took office, he immediately ended effective border policies inherited from the Trump administration.
- Now August border crossings are at a 21-year high, with August marking the second month in a row in which encounters surpassed 200,000.
- Illegal immigrants say they are coming because of Biden, with some even wearing Biden t-shirts.
