MICHIGANDERS ARE LESS SAFE THANKS TO DEMOCRAT POLICIES

Last year, as Democrats across the country pushed to defund the police, crime and violence in Michigan skyrocketed on Gretchen Whitmer’s watch.
Detroit has the second highest violent crime rate in the country among major U.S. cities, seeing more than 14,300 violent crimes in 2020, a 10 percent increase from 2019.
- This year, Detroit is on track to see the number of murders climb even higher.
Lansing, Michigan ranks close behind, having the 9th highest violent crime rate of any major U.S. city.
5 of the top 25 large cities with the highest violent crime rates are in Michigan.
- Detroit resident Sandrew King: “Whatever you see as far as statistics go, it's worse than that on the street level. There are a lot of people who don't have hope, and when you get that situation, you're going to get people committing crime because they just don't care.”

MICHIGANDERS ARE FACING RISING PRICES UNDER BIDEN

Michiganders are paying more for the everyday goods and products they need.
- 58 percent of Michigan voters believe Michigan’s economy is on the wrong track and 86 percent are concerned about inflation.
Nationally, consumer prices have jumped 5.3 percent over the past year.
- In the Midwest region, prices rose 5.7 percent, even higher than national levels.
Michigan gas prices have risen 38 percent under Biden and are up 53 percent from where they were last October.
Housing has become less affordable, with the National Association of Realtors reporting that home prices have increased nearly 15 percent from a year ago.
- Michigan housing prices recently reached their highest since 2003, increasing 18 percent compared to last year.
Used car prices in Michigan, a key indicator of inflation, are up 25 percent – or $6,000 – since last year.

Biden is looking to spend $3.5 trillion on his radical tax-and-spending spree, while prices continue to increase every month under his presidency; hurting small businesses and stifling the recovery.
Biden lied to Americans when he said no one making under $400,000 will see their taxes go up – Michigan families who earn just $50,000 will in fact see a tax increase under his plan, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation.
- Overall, Democrats’ spending spree would raise taxes by $2.9 trillion, the largest increase in decades.

BIDEN AND DEMOCRATS’ COVID POLICIES ARE BAD FOR MICHIGAN SMALL BUSINESSES

Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandates will affect nearly two million Michigan workers, half of the state’s workforce.
Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Sandy Baruah, when asked about Biden’s vaccine mandate said, “government enforcement of a mandate seems problematic.”
Michigan voters oppose COVID-19 policies imposed by Biden and Democrats.
- Nearly 52 percent of Michiganders say they oppose mandatory proof of vaccination in businesses.
- A staggering 42 percent of Michigan voters who oppose mandatory vaccinations said they would look for another job if their employer imposed vaccine mandates.

BIDEN AND DEMOCRATS ARE WAGING A WAR ON THE ENERGY INDUSTRY IN MICHIGAN

The Biden administration and Democrats are waging war on American energy production while begging foreign nations to increase oil production.
Nationally, Biden has already started to fulfill his promise to “sacrifice” hundreds of thousands of blue-collar jobs in pursuit of a “greener economy” by cancelling the Keystone XL pipeline, killing 11,000 jobs.
In Michigan, Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer ordered Enbridge to shut down its Line 5 pipeline, which supplies many Michiganders with their fuel and propane.
- A study found that shutting down the Line 5 pipeline could kill 33,755 jobs and cost the economy of Michigan and surrounding states more than $20 billion.
- Shutting down the pipeline would cause a massive disruption to the aviation industry, with Detroit Metro Airport receiving half of its jet fuel from this pipeline.
