Biden’s Cabinet Testifies Today About His Bloated Liberal Wish List That Comes At The Expense Of America’s National Security

NOTHING “SKINNY” ABOUT BIDEN’S SPENDING

  • Today, HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and VA Secretary Denis McDonough will testify on Biden’s FY 2022 budget request.
  • Last week in a Friday news dump, Biden released his $1.5 trillion “skinny budget.”
  • This comes on top of the massive spending spree that Biden is already on:
    • Biden signed a partisan $1.9 trillion progressive wish list in March.
    • Biden recently released a $2.25 trillion “infrastructure” package where just 7 percent of the funding goes to roads, bridges, airports, and waterways.
    • Biden is expected to soon introduce another multi-trillion dollar “family plan,” but refused to include details in his budget.

BIDEN’S BUDGET CUTS DEFENSE SPENDING, PUTTING AMERICA AT RISK

  • Biden’s $715 billion request for the Defense Department is a cut to defense spending.
    • Biden is effectively asking for a 4 percent cut in defense spending when adjusted for inflation.
    • This budget request is below the Trump administration’s $722 billion forecast.
  • Biden’s “skinny budget” is the latest sign Biden is failing to take the threat of China seriously.
  • National security experts have been clear: a 3 to 5 percent increase in Defense spending is necessary to counter the threat of a rising China.

BIDEN’S BUDGET IS A LIBERAL WISH LIST

  • While Biden chose to neglect America’s national defense, he bloated non-defense discretionary spending by 16 percent.
  • This includes spending on priorities like Green New Deal-style polices, gun control measures, and more.

BIDEN’S BUDGET DISGREGARDS THE CRISIS AT THE BORDER

  • Biden’s budget request would nix funding of the border wall during an immigration crisis.
    • It would also cancel unused funds previously allocated to the wall.
