BIDEN’S BORDER CRISIS CONTINUES TO RAGE

In September, 192,001 illegal immigrants were apprehended attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border, making this the highest number for September in DHS history.
- It’s a 233 percent increase over last September, and a 300 percent increase from the average number of September apprehensions during the Trump administration.
- 14,358 unaccompanied children were apprehended.
Over 1.4 million illegal immigrants have been caught attempting to cross the border since Biden took office.
- More illegal immigrants have crossed the southern border in the last three months than in all of FY 2020.
- The number of illegal crossings at the border has risen at a faster rate under Biden than at any time in recent history.
21,031 illegal immigrants were released into the U.S. just in this past month.
- This in in addition to the more than 400,000 illegal immigrants who were able to sneak into the U.S. illegally without being caught in the last 12 months.

BIDEN’S BORDER INACTION HAS HURT THE COUNTRY

Biden’s border crisis is not slowing down, with reports showing that up to 400,00 illegal migrants may cross the border in October, more than double September’s total.
- As many as 60,000 additional illegal immigrants are amassing on the Mexican side of the border to enter the U.S. in the coming days.
Joe Biden has not been to the border as president to see the crisis for himself and there is still no record that Biden has ever been to the border.
- Nine GOP Governors recently visited the border to see the issues for themselves and offer solutions that the Biden administration will not.
Border Czar Kamala Harris did not attend a high-level diplomatic meeting with the Mexican President to work on stopping drug cartels despite her role as border czar, instead visiting a bakery in New Jersey.
With yet another month of historically high levels of illegal immigration, Biden’s claim that the border crisis is “seasonal” has been completely debunked.
- Even MSNBC’s Chuck Todd said, “We thought this was seasonal. Turns out it's not seasonal this year.”

BIDEN POORLY HANDLED THE SURGE OF HAITIAN MIGRANTS TO DEL RIO, TEXAS

Recently, Biden failed to manage the nearly 15,000 Haitian immigrants that crossed the border and set up a “third world refugee camp” under a bridge in Del Rio, Texas.
- Biden’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas admitted more than 12,000 of these illegal immigrants were released into the U.S.
- Biden now plans to open a migrant detention center in Guantanamo Bay, with specific instructions that the guards speak Spanish and Haitian Creole.
Despite this large surge, Texas is preparing for up to 60,000 more Haitians to cross the border in the coming months, more than four times the surge Biden so poorly handled.

CRIME IS ON THE RISE DUE TO BIDEN’S BORDER POLCIES

Illegal immigrants in Del Rio revolted, taking control of a bus and escaped ICE custody while being transported away from the border.
- In a separate incident, illegal Haitian migrants attacked and bit ICE officers as they were being deported.
The crisis is so dire that multiple border counties in Texas are suing the Biden administration over a “failure to enforce the laws. ”
There are multiple reports of physical and sexual abuse of unaccompanied children occurring at shelters across Texas.
- Young children continue to be abandoned at the border by human smugglers.
Despite this rise in violence, the Biden administration released a memo instructing ICE agents to allow illegal immigrants to stay in the U.S. even if they commit a crime.
- Mayorkas has also ordered ICE to stop mass worksite deportation raids of illegal immigrants.

THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION PUTS LAW ENFORCEMENT LAST

The Biden administration has refused to take strong action to address the border crisis, leaving Border Patrol agents feeling abandoned.
- 224 miles of the Rio Grande River border are now unpatrolled as agents grapple with the historic number of illegal crossings.
CBP is understaffed and overwhelmed, often unable to respond to calls.
Biden attacked Border Patrol agents for doing their job and securing the border, saying that the agents “will pay” and that “there will be consequences.”
- Harris also falsely smeared our Border Patrol agents, saying “there needs to be consequences” and compared the treatment of Haitian migrants to that of slaves.
- National Border Patrol Council president Brandon Judd accused the Biden administration of “playing politics with Border Patrol agents' lives.”
In South Texas more than 100 miles of border wall materials are “just sitting there going to absolute waste.”

BIDEN’S OPEN BORDERS POLICIES ARE FAILING

Biden’s failed policies created the crisis at our southern border.
- In Biden’s first 100 days in office he took more than 94 executive actions on immigration, including halting construction of the border wall and ending the Trump administration’s successful “Remain in Mexico” policy.
- Illegal immigrants are thanking Biden for his weak immigration policies, have said that they “didn’t even want to try” crossing the border when Trump was president.
Each growing month the crisis continues to worsen, with thousands of people and thousands of pounds of narcotics pouring over the border.
67 percent of Americans do not have confidence in Biden’s handling of the border.
